In January 2026, TES Foundation continued its commitment to advancing ophthalmic care in Seychelles through hands-on surgical training at Victoria Hospital.
Dr. Tania Gopal and Dr. Harry Roux worked side by side in the operating theatre, introducing modern cataract surgery techniques using advanced microsurgical equipment. The training focused on precision, safety, and efficiency — key components in delivering high-quality visual outcomes for patients.
This initiative is part of our long-term strategy: not only to treat patients during missions, but to transfer skills, strengthen local capacity, and ensure continued excellence in ophthalmic care in Seychelles.
